Walter Jones officially retired today. Mike Holmgran said he is the most dominant offensive player he ever coached. This is a tribute video. Watch the last block of the clip against Carolina.http://www.seahawks....35-4ddebabccb5fOn 5,703 pass attempts over 13 seasons, W. Jones was called for holding 9 times and surrendered 23 sacks.
seems like they could have done more with that tribute video...hardly any shots of him owning people. I heard that 9 holding penalties and 23 sacks stat on the radio this morning, pretty unbelievable. he hardly ever showed up for training camp either, he'd spend the preseason pushing an escalade around in his hometown, show up for the first week of the season and dominate. crazy

pretty laughable 4.5 years later. There were so many bad calls all against the Seahawks that game. It sucks are window has passed with no championship.

Mays will bring this in every game, but even harder against the seahawks.

Yay I get to watch the Hawks play for the first time in what seems like a decade. Missed last weeks game due to a wedding. Really intrested in seeing all the new guys and it seems from what I have read all the draft picks look good. Really perplexed with the Vincent Jackson rumors. Seems like wr isnt a big issue and if it costs you a 2nd you gotta believe the Hawks think they can compete right now.

Okung's going to be out for a little while, maybe up to 6 weeks. that's going to hurt

I know it sucks. Deja vu all over again. the hawks have had a terrible run injury wise the last few years.I was really dissapointed in Thomas at first when he got beat by Jennings then totally whiffed on a open field tackle on the sideline but he looked damn good making up ground to break up a pass a little while later.

Wow suprised they released Housh concidering his 7 million for this season is guaranteed. Then Alex Gibbs the highly touted O line coach retires a week before the season starts. Not a good start to the season. I wonder if they try and sign Leinart? Probally not with what they gave up for Whitehurst.

Carroll's blowin this mother fu.cker up. shopping Locklear, cut Housh, Jones, Babineaux. seriously doubt Leroy Hill will be back next year. the OLine coach retiring 8 days before the season starts is a little ominous imo

They didn't cut Julius Jones.

Which is unfortunate. Unless they're planning to fire him in front of 70,000 people, which I'm ok with. They should've signed him to the practice squad.

he did survive the cuts, but had been on the chopping block all wknd. now Babineuax is being brought back, Craig Terrill is getting cut to make room. the roster is in constant motion. not good.

You think the slash and burn of the roster would be happening in the off season not a week before kickoff.

As long as it happens. The faster we get Carroll's guys in here, the faster we find out if his system works. He's already chalked this up to a rebuilding season, so what he's doing makes sense. But I'm still hoping for playoffs...

NFC West. I think its the Niners to lose but Seattle does have the most proven qb in the division. Alot of holes in pass rush and the running game for Seattle though.
