I was looking over the WSOP 2005 schedule and noticed they had 5 main events in 5 different cities. Does this mean we'll have 5 champions this year instead of one?

Yes they have made WSOP circuit tournaments. Basically they are just smaller versions of the main Vegas event. In addition, there will be a point system in place and the leaders will be involved in a freeroll tournament at the end I believe for $2mil if my memory serves me correctly. I may be wrong though.Either way, I believe this is good for poker.

These seem made to build upon the success that the WPT has had on TV, and is an agreement with ESPN to take advantage of the huge audience that watched the WSOP this year.I also believe that anything like this is good for poker.
