Espn is the worst. God, It's going to suck when TK has to tone down his show.
I had no idea what you guys were talking about until just now.So he got suspended by ESPN for making fun of the way Hannah Storm was dressed. ESPN can be pretty lame about this kind of stuff.I'd be ok with two weeks of LeBatard on PTI, but I'll pass if it's Bob Ryan.
Homer: Moe, I need your advice.
Moe: Yeah?
Homer: See, I got this friend named... Joey Jo Jo... Junior... Shabadoo.
Moe: That's the worst name I ever heard.

I don't see how Dan doesn't get suspended for ripping on Mike & Mike all the time.

Suspended from what? All he does is occasionally fill in. And his radio show isn't an ESPN show.

Dan showed up yesterday as a guest speaker for my class yesterday because my teacher is a sports writer for the Herald and is at the Olympics. It was simply amazing. He stumbles in about 10 minutes late, 9:05 class so no big deal. He looks like he just rolled out of bed with his hair completely messed up and his eyes completely red. His ability to walk to the front was limited and my friend and I argued whether he was high, hungover or both. The entire hour was hilarious, he brought up the Kornheiser situation and said how he's glad that he doesn't work for ESPN. When talking about getting close to athletes he mentioned that it's like hitting on a girl and you have to appeal to their vanity. This was the best class I have had in four years, he really knows how to keep everyone laughing. He mentioned that he just shows up right before his show, or late sometimes and doesn't prepare. He has dozens of topics laid out for him to choose from that his people think he might like and he just goes whatever way he wants. Basically as you all know, he's awesome!

HE claims never to have smoked pot or done any drug, and given how honest he is, I believe him, so he was prob just really hung over.

From Bill Simmons chat:Charlie (NJ)Kornheiser topic brings me to an interesting question, if allowed to answer, which ESPN show host would you most like to work with and why?Bill Simmons (1:47 PM)I would love to host West Coast PTI with that chubby deviant fu manchu wearing Cuban lothario Dan LeBatard. Just stick us in the LA studio and let us go at it. Unfortunately he'd never move to LA and I'd never move to Miami. So we'll have to settle for sending each other sarcastic emails that you can't see.I'm pretty sure I would watch this every day.

Filling in on PTI
I suppose, but that probably punishes ESPN more than it does him.I like the way he keeps saying things like, "I really want to be able to rail against ESPN and talk about how this suspension is so absurd, but I can't."Two questions for the listeners:Was there no Friday show?andPoop shoes?

Not true. On his chat on the Herald website this week he was asked about that and he said he smoked it the night before and thinks it should be legalized.

I'm getting a little tired of Dan's Kobe vs Lebron argument. Shots in a one-possession game in the last 24 seconds is not the argument ender that he's making it out to be. That sample size would include making a shot with 20 seconds left when you're up by 3. How is that even close to the same thing as down 2 with 5 seconds left?If the question is, who do you want taking a game-ending shot, then the sample should be tie game or down by 1-3 with less than 10 seconds.I'm not saying making that change would necessarily change the decision, but it's not as clear cut as he makes it out to be.And using the Orlando game as proof against Kobe is silly since he hit a 3 with about 30 seconds left to cut it to 3, then hit another 3 with about 6 seconds left to tie it. Except he had a toe on the line, which made it a 1 point game, which meant they had to foul, which meant he had to take yet another shot. So either 2 of 3 or 1 of 2, which would be a good percentage by Dan's stats.Plus, you know, assassin.
