I was going to say something silly, but I think you are very serious and I hope you get your moneys worth. With that being said I can feel better about saying, you checked out Camp Hellmuth yet? :club:

Good luck finding a legitimate pro that a) can devote a full 40 hr week to you and B) is willing to do so for only a buck and a qtr an hour. You would have to pay a good shrink $250 hr.

Well I figure, these poker camps arent good enough. Theres not enough 1 on 1 teaching that goes on...Secondly , 125$ dollars an hour ... I think that's decent ... 1 weeks worth of work , if you can call it that .... for half an entry fee to the WSOP main event ... hmm

As much as I could use 5 G's, all I could teach you is how to lose your bankroll, then tear down drywall with your fists. Good luck though...

I doubt this will interest anyone other than some 5th tier pro. I heard people were very impressed with the Howard Lederer camp. I think some decent time with first rate pros is better than having some hack follow u around for a week.

Try Dutch Boyd, he'd probably be willing to accept your terms. Just a thought.

Your acting like these pro players , are some degree'd professionals , who commands 10,000.00 for a week worth of playing a game. Sit and think on that for a sec ... Secondly, yea ok ... maybe my post deserves a flame or two ... but this was meant in all seriousness. Not to insult any "1st tier" pro's by giving them 5 thousand dollars. I just have a drive to learn, and im puttin my bait out there seein if anyone will bite ... For christ sakes people ....

Then he'll teach you to have a mental breakdown, get distanced from all your friends, and post about making out with some niave girl on your livejournal. Oh and maybe some chip tricks.

Yeah, Josh's camp is only $210 for 3 hours. You might contact him with your offer and see what he says.
If you wake up in the morning and you're still breathing, be thankful...you get a second chance.

I'm not flaming your post. I'm just saying it's unrealistic. Poker pros are a commodity now, and they get paid money to play poker on certain sites, to endorse products, to appear at events, to put thier names on books, etc...... So yes, in all respects they are indeed professionals and their time is indeed worth a lot of money. I know you seriously want to learn but this might be like trying to buy a new car and ending up with a 5th hand model.

You gotta realize anything posted on here like this is gonna be flamed like hell. I don't think he necessarily needs a "1st tier" pro to help him. You just need someone who has been moderately more successful than yourself to help. Now you may not want to pay them $125 an hour but....you should be able to find someone who can help your game if your willing to pay up to 5K. JMHO.

Honestly i think your best bet is to go to a casino. Watch all the players for a long time. Find someone who is doing well and who you respect the style of, and ask them to teach you. Obviously you want to find someone at a high limit game. I mean but some guys who are 1st tier pros probably couldn't teach you as much as some other guys who are 5th tier pros; and vice versa. You have to find someone you can learn from. with all that being said, and you say you've read all the books. i'd take my five grand go to vegas and play 1/2 or 2/5. That's the best way to learn. I mean if you've read everything you already have the knowledge. All you have to do is watch what's going on around you.... watch the people.watch them and when the time is right, raise them.

Jim,Check your PMs I sent you the contact info for a guy I know that is turning out very successful poker players. Maybe not, million dollar poker pros but taking people from 1/2 limit a few months ago to 15/30 with proper bankroll in no time flat.He has a way of explaining things that really stick. Not some eccentric math wiz, just a very very bright guy with a knack for teaching. That I think is the key.
