It will blow over, just like it did for Kobe. There will be an initial backlash, but I think he has such a huge impact on the sport that people will try whatever they can do to make people like him.

As for the endorsements, can Nike afford to do anything? He is Nike Golf. He is to golf what Michal Jordan was/is to basketball. He's their face and nobody can replace that imo.

This is sneakily in option 1 as he will just move on as if no one does give tow shits about it.
There was madness in any direction, at any hour…You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning…. And that, I think, was the handle-that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn’t need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting-on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave….So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark-that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.

That's a bad option, considering the fact that almost everyone gives a shit. Maybe an "I don't give a shit" option.

You're concerned about where Tiger Woods' career goes from here? Are you anything more than vaguely interested in it?

If I were Tiger...let's see... I make $180 million per year before I get out of bed... most likely have a half bill liquid in the bank.... you can all blow me.

And before we get carried away, Jewasaurus Rex, I didn't mean to imply that people don't care about the cheating scandal, the car crash, the divorce and so on. If anything, I think people care much more about that junk than they do where his playing career goes from here.

I doubt speedz is. he's probably just representing the public at large

His career moving forward, the divorce proceedings, and any ongoing scandals are all included in his future, which is what the poll was about.

But yes, I would still have a genuine interest in just his golf career...though no more than if he was still just a bland married dude. I enjoy watching once-in-a-generation athletes in almost any sport.

..and it's my contention that the public at large really doesn't care, or they might watch more golf. The most watched golf program(sunday of the British open 2 years ago) in recent history was watched by roughly half the number of people that watched the Texas-Texas Tech game last year.

I agree that it will blow over... it might take awhile, especially if there is a divorce. I don't think people will forget about it, but he will still be idolized when his career is over and done with. Just a bump in the road.
