Balloon guy 158 Posted November 21, 2009 Share Posted November 21, 2009 I recently had a discussion about the vampire kick the country is on, which followed the Harry Potter kick.It seems to me that the majority of the viewing public is unhappy with their life, wants a change that gives them the ability to step out of this world and enter a whole new world.They also want to live forever, which is funny because the desire to live forever coupled with dissatisfaction with life seems to be at odds.This is obviously a clear example of what Christianity offers. A new life and a chance to live forever.The other viewpoint that my friend argued is that people want to gain power to lord it over others and hold onto that power for as long as possible.It is an interesting debate.
