I guess I'll argue about this some more. The point of dynamic pricing isn't about getting the most money from the people who are going to see it, it's pricing it for maximum revenue. That could mean you lower the prices to get more people in the theater. Or it might not.
I guess my point is that I consider Win/Win and other small scale critically acclaimed "indie" movies like it to carry relatively inelastic pricing. Business!

Also, some of those crappy comedies you mentioned earlier make a lot of money as is, so I'm not sure those would be the discounted.
Maybe some of them, but others did really poorly and I could see "dumb comedy" being on the list of movies people would be more willing to see if they were discounted.

two questions:1) Is that movie super scary/horrorish... like The Ring? Or is it something more tame, but suspenseful, like The Happening?2) How many hours a day do you waste your time reading meaningless crap from random comment sections on the internet? It has a 92 on RT and with vu and mk saying it's great, along with a very well made trailer, makes me feel like I need to see it.Did you know MI:GP has a 93 on RT? Amazing.
Heh, it's not like The Ring at all. It's more an existential horror which powerfully conveys the deep sense of unease and dread one can feel when raising a family in trying times.

Pretty great rationalization in the comments section:Would some of you please get off your high horse? Download it for free if you can. If i gave my money to EVERY movie I ever wanted to see, I'd be broke.
Watching movies is a right, not a privilege!! I'm pretty sure it's in the 6th or 7th Amendment.

Watched Margin Call over the weekend. I didn't have great expectations, but it exceeded them comfortably. It could've been SO heavy-handed and over-the-top. No caricature "F THE LITTLE GUY" villains, just a bunch of sober, intelligent people trying to save their company by getting in front of the shitstorm. It gets the vibe of that period right without being too specific or non-fictional.

Katy Perry's boobs are an optical illusion. They are actually quite a bit bigger than one might think.

Improbably (and I'm dead serious about that improbably) Jimmy Fallon's constant positivity and young/hip feel is starting to win me over to the point where I think his show is quite a bit more fun than Conan. I feel like I just cheated on my wife saying that, since I've been such a loyal Conan supporter for the last 20 years, but Jimmy is really kindof great. His shows in Indy last week were very awesome.

It's pretty good, I saw it last weekend. The whole movie is that girl running around, beating and killing people (she's actually a real-life MMA fighter). Also, the music's pretty sweet.

If you want to invest some time into something truly interesting that has a LOT to do with this movie... watch Project Greenlight 3. It was a reality show in 2005 where Matt Damon and Ben Affleck picked a screenplay and a director separately to film a movie for Miramax. It's HIGHLY entertaining, especially considering that the director off the street that won, is starting to get big time movies. (He is the director of Piranha 3DD)Also, as an added bonus, the screen writers that won are the screen writers for this movie as well.Watch the whole third season here ------>>>>> http://www.tubeplus....Office_or_Bust/
