rrumsey 0
bet/ raise ( sorry lucoo im lazy!) bigger on every street! 2/3 pot and you wouldn't have gotten beat by a caught boat on river
Lucoo_ 0
First of all, please please stop calling bets raises and raises reraises. The BET on the flop should have been bigger yes. If you bet 1-1.25 your not it's still small enough to get lots of calls. Bet the turn bigger too, a naked jack raises you a lot here. If you bet like 2.5 he raises to 7-10 you can shove no problem and still get lots of calls from any jack. As played the river is a fold.

You want to make money therefor you need to bet bigger. If they fold, which is the most likely scenario, that means they were not going to give you the action you wanted out of your big hand. Calling preflop here is marginal, you have position but a weak hand. 10-9 is the kind of hand you want to hit big with, unsuited makes it that much harder, plus you have to pay more to see the flop. Even if he called every of your small bets and the didn't suck out on you, you still wouldn't have made enough money to make this hand profitable in the long-term.

With naked jacks he will often raise me and then I shove? He has me covered and I think that most of the time I will get calls and then making this a profitable play? Regardless here is the proper line here is bet 1.50-1.75 on flop, making the pot size about 5.50, then 3-3.50 (maybe even 4) on turn, if you get reraised the same % then his reraise is to about 12 and you can shove turn and probably get called seeing how you give almost 2:1 odds *** notice the exponential difference by betting more proper sizes were it allows us to decently smoothly move our whole stack in****you need to take this line to extract max value from naked J's to make you call preflop profitable, otherwise you aren't getting the implied odds you need

I thought I should bring up this hand because it annoyed me a lot after I folded due to the bad betting. Really poor session all together though, I might bring up another hand later for discussion, when I'm done looking through my history.
MaxStPolish 4
Bet the fuk out of that flop. You nailed gin on a semi-at-best coordinated board. You have the nut straight, and it's a rainbow-two gapper on the board. No one is giving your bet credit for 9T. If you bet 1.80 into the 2.50 pot, a Jack is coming along, even a random pair/gutter ball shot will play, and you may even see a raise from a top pair gutterball draw, etc. this is a perfect hand to pot build right out the gate. At at a bare minimum, a call gets the pot over 6 bucks to the turn, multi-calls or raises just set your play up on a tee.As played the fold is a gimmie.
