Avii 0
The board is very coordinated, but we can still extract value. Disagree with any street, particularly flop despite being so coordinated in a limped pot? Assume no reads, first game vs. an unknown. Demystify727 0
I'd bet 150 on the river. If he re-raises it would be very interesting. If he has the 45 or 59 straight I'm pretty sure he would re-raise the turn. The way it was played I would say your ahead about 98% of the timeBet 150 and if he re raises cry a little bit then call.EDIT: I thought about it some more and the way it was played he could also have a missed draw. If you put him on a missed draw your best option is to check and hope he bluffs at the pot. He will also bet some hands like a pair of eights or jacks, so check calling isn't bad either although I like the value bet more.

I like sizing my bet to about 120-130.All of these posts of yours are really basic, you should read some books, maybe DN's books on Hold'em strategy or the Harrington's. I must of forgot to put that part in my post. Sry!
stenitz2 0
You need to worry about 6-6, 7-7, 8-8, 5-4, 5-9, and 9-T. I would assume he didn't limp with a PP and check behind with a set- he would try to take it down right there rather than let you draw to a straight for free.If I were the villain and held 5-X or 9-X, I would call the turn with the intention of bluffing or folding on the river. If I happened to have a flush draw on the turn I would call because the pot is still small, but hitting a river flush against your straight or any other strong hand would probably mean a massacre. Being as how no more cards towards either draw came on the river, I would feel pretty good about holding 2 pair in your position. You have to bet the river. Giving up control of this pot after a call will almost certainly mean a big bet from villain. Check raise is probably not the best move, if he comes over the top you have to fold.I invite as much criticism of this response as possible, I'm pretty new and trying to sharpen my game. In HU, I raise pre-flop early and often to try to eliminate hands like 5-9 that could ninja my good hands. I probably would have raised 3x pre flop and if he called, made a continuation bet followed by a big bet on the turn.
Avii 0
Tnx for the replies guys.Being OOP kind of really hurts my valuelines. I guess that whenever I hit any part of any flop I should bet out, but all out aggression like that isn't the best thing either. In this hand I bet pot, got called by an 89. I wonder if I should have bet that flop, despite flopping "only" midpair.

That's how I have learned things since like ever.An openminded discussion with fellows is much better than any book in that particular regard.
