I don't know if it's because of Ivey or what, but I feel like the delayed final table this year actually worked as intended for the first time.

I am excited.

really sucks that they don't have a live feed this year... I'm surprised ESPN didn't have a pay per view for this either, the 2006 Pay per view must have not made money.

I think the reason why there is no PPV is because they want a huge number to tune in on Tuesday.

High number = Ad dollars

Having Ivey at the final table is their 'perfect storm'

I'll probably not be on here from saturday to wednesday and will make the attempt (in vain im sure) to not hear anything about this and then just watch the broadcast without knowing.

I should prop bet at what time this is ruined for me. I'll prolly just have to not use the internet, not counting fantasy football, to make this work.

I'm guessing this means you can't watch ESPN at all because they will be telling who won on SportsCenter like they did last year.

LOL OMG.

I didn't even try to fade it last year.....but I remember sitting at home with my wife as they discussed it on SC and had it on the ticker at the bottom. I was like "c'mon, you know people are actually using your whole november 9 scam to actually watch the FT in real-ish time......I know you are the "leader in sports", but do you really have to break this news across your screens when you are showing the coverage in the next 24-48 hours?"

That's why I don't want to do this because i know it's gonna get ruined for me, being that I play poker and watch sports daily. Meh, we'll see.

fwiw i really enjoyed the 07 ppv telecast. seeing Jerry Yang run around yelling and everything in real time was so awesome! it was kind of like watching a donkament ft live on PS or something but you actually got to see the players as well and of course still able to see the cards when they had a showdown. i wish they still had it for the hardcore fans.

What does being a fan of hardcore have to do with it?
