agreed. then it makes an easy shove of river if it isn't in right there on turn. as played,... shove! if he has a st8 or a worse flush you tak it down rather early

The biggest QFT i have ever written.
agree with this......Anyone think of leading out this turn? I feel like Villain raises us if we do for some reason. I don't know why.......He seems to really like his hand.

In all honesty you should be raising this flop anyway. That makes it easier to lead turn as Biff said, because this turn will get checked behind a lot. But once you take this line you HAVE to raise the turn, when he bets like this he probably has KKd or AAd or QQd - something like that. You cannot let him see that river for free.

Yeh I think I'm inclined to raise the flop. As played, I think the river is a check since villain is likely spazz putting in our psb for us based on previous streets.

Great feedback guys, thanks all!

I think having seen the turn card has made you at least a little results oriented. The opponent has decided to bet every street, he's repping strong. You have a strong draw on the flop, and now made your hand on the turn, why not let him continue repping strong while you are getting ready to own him?Of course, we don't know on the flop if opponent will also bet on a non-blank turn. But there's a great chance for him to continue betting though, since he has shown a willingness to take ini in the hand. Whatever he check-folds with on the turn, he would have folded to a raise on the flop aswell imo.

Are we always flipping on this flop (raise, get reraised, flip)? Seems like such a high variance play, we still have 50bb+.

His range is a heck of a lot wider than that imo. It is one of the first hands, so villain's play is quite a fluid concept at this stage. While the KKd or AAd or QQd is surely part of his range (that minbet pf? hmmm), his range has a lot more air; air that scares away when it gets bet into.He has taken the initiative and bets into my made hand, I say let him try it again.

Agreed wholeheartedly.

No, it didn't - and at this point we don't know the villain will be betting every street. HU, I raise or c/r pretty much any draw or most made hands on the flop, for balance. That way the villain can't automatically put me on the big hand when a draw completes. On the turn, his made hands and draws make up a bigger portion of his range than his air. If he has air, we have no notes that he will do anything but c/f a blank river, which most villains will after you flat the turn. Therefore we don't concern ourselves with the air part of his range, and look to maximize value against his made hands and draws. Raising the turn is the best way to do this (if we didn't raise flop).
