well thanks to rakeback, some serious donk and quads, I was able to build the roll back to about where I had it. I probably should deposit, so I have more leeway, but really I want to learn the basics before "moving up"6max 5plono reads on villain, but it's 5plo so w/e. We both have $5 behindHero is dealt [ A :club: J  8 :club: 4  ] 2 foldsHero raises to $0.151 foldSB calls1 foldFlop [ A :spade: J :spade: T :club: ]Villain checksHero ?In reality, he checked (bad?) because he liked the hand's SD value and its ability to play in position on later streets. Hero doesn't like that he's often c/r'd on these boards and he has to throw the hand away.Turn was the Q :club: , went check/check, and hero folded to a PSB on a blank riverIs it better to bet/fold otf?Had the turn been a blank hero would've called any bet or bet pot had villain checkedIn NLHE I think b/fing is fantastic and very much undervalued, but in PLO it seems like your opponents just make too many hands

With this hand on this flop, I'm not putting any money in the pot. If the turn and river both blank off and villain bets the river, I might call to pick off a bluff, but other than that I'm pretty much never betting or calling a bet if I don't improve.

you played it pretty well imo! i mean turn was one of the 2 worst possible cards you could see, so he probably had something and hoped you would pay off a pot bet on river, or he bluffed a scary ass board, in which case you wait until he does this when we have him nailed. gh
