rrumsey 0
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 15/30 Blinds (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comHero (Button) (t1455)BB (t1500)Hero's M: 32.33Preflop: Hero is Button with J, K3 folds, Hero bets t105, 1 fold, BB calls t75Flop: (t225) 4, 2, 6(2 players)BB checks, Hero bets t120, BB calls t120Turn: (t465) 7(2 players)BB checks, Hero checksRiver: (t465) 6(2 players)BB bets t170Can I hero call ever against an unknown villain in a $4 MTT? It just seems like villain would have bet any made hand before that river, so the 6 is a very neutral card, therefore i was rather tempted to do a hero call with K high to catch missed flush draws and air. very early at table only a few hands went by first hand both of us have been in. I mean what can villain have. I did fold but i was so wanting to hero call getting amazing odds (i mean im getting like 6:1 almost) to compensate the probably many times im wrong here. Kind of a crazy call i know but am i massively overthinking this or do i have a case for a possible hero call?oh and yah i realize my cbet was pretty small i was about to time out so i didn't click my slider enough timesI mean unless he missed the check raise on the turn i really have a hard time putting villain on any kind of hand
MNmiracleCJS 0
I don't think I can make a case for a hero call here you'd have to have a serious history to call hoping he's good enough to value-bet bluff that river.
delved 0
I don't see how you can call. You tried to stab and it didn't work. You've missed your cards entirely and he could be playing a very wide range of cards from the BB.
HighwayStar 8
If he'd made it 150 or 180 I'd be more likely to call. The 170 screams he's thought about his bet size and is betting for value.Even if he did bet 150 180 I probably owuld find it hard to call...and I love making hero calls. You can be getting bluffed with the best hand here. Good A hi hands make a good hero call here, it's not going to be a huge mistake to fold the bottom of your range on the river. rrumsey 0
thats is kind of what i thought i just hated that i didn't even think too much about what he had until after i folded and then that hand bugged me for a while. i was pissed i didn't think of the possiblity of calling even thou i probably still would have foldedIs my head in the right place for really wondering why a made hand plays this line? i mean unless he flopped a st8 with the st8 flush draw, 35 clubs, then this hand is extremely wierd by villain! Right?
Mercury69 3
I don't like the call. Way too many hands beat K high. Sure, he could be bluffing with a busted flush draw, but he could have any Ax and/or hit some kind of raggy junk. There's got to be better spots than this...

delved 0
Could have ace high. Could have a 6 too and was scared of the 7 on turn.
Fade2241 0
i don't think a call here makes sense. you could raise to try and have him fold out an A high bluff etc but as others have said it stinks of value. fold.

Demystify727 0
You have to call 170 to win about 635 if I added correctly. So the villain has to be bluffing 1 out of every 3.8 time for a call to be profitable. Given the board and how the play went I think he will bet with a missed draw here quite often. I think there is more of a case for a call here then what people so far have given. He could be value betting an Ace, kiw suited connectors, or a small pocket pair. He also could be trying to buy the pot with two clubs. I think that he is bluffing at least once out of every 3.8 times here and I probably call. The odds to call mixed with the information you receive from calling, I would say it is very close.Overall I don't mind a fold or a call in this spot. They both have their pros and cons.
