bdc30 0 Posted October 10, 2009 Share Posted October 10, 2009 Here's why I just flat here. For argument's sake, lets say UTG has another $7 left. That's 14bb at this stake. One of the first things I learned when moving to heads up was the following statement "protect every bb". A good plo winrate is 5-6bb/100. Thus, 14bb should not be an insignificant amount. UTG is obviously never folding here, no matter what. I'd rather see a turn before getting the rest in. Who knows, maybe the board runs out terribly, maybe the flush comes and the 3 pairs, whatever. If we can save $7 on the times that we're never going to be ahead, that's 14bb that we don't have to earn in other ways. Obviously if the turn is a blank, we're calling when UTG ships it in, but I don't see what benefit to us there is to getting the money in on the flop. Link to post Share on other sites
