This is probably just a symptom of playing online poker, but is there really such a thing as a bad beat magnet? I swear to god, I'm one of 'em.But the real problem isn't the beats themselves, it's the aftermath. I've gotten to a place where I'll drop A-paint if I get raised even the minimum because I know... I just *know* that the doofus raising has some kind of 8-3 crap and is going to draw me out.So is there some universe in which I should stop bothering to play premium hands and just play garbage like all the people who have all my money do, or is this just one of the effects of online poker farting up the game for everyone?Speaking of poker getting farted up (this goes a little OT, but it's still in the general area): I think maybe ESPN and whatnot should start showing the *whole* game. Not just the ninety seconds of intense play that happens every three hours when someone is forced all in. They need to start showing the hours of folding the pros do to get to those premium hands. I think the vast majority of online poker doofi are lulled into believing that actual pros play the kind of "hope I hit one of my two outs on my all-in" poker they see on television. They don't realize that it happens once in a blue moon in reality, and since they do it all the time because of that, the blue moon happens about once every ten minutes online. The way I figure, at your average 10 top online table, you have two or three actual poker players and seven or eight Nintendo addicts who are "gunna go awl-inn lahk they doo awn that thar teevee, a-hyuk". The rounders don't stand a fart's chance on a windy day in those situations.Truth is, I would really like to go to a B&M and play, but I really can't until they stop televising poker tournaments 24/7. Right now, I'm getting juked out of pennies by people on computers. It would really suck to buy into a $200 or $500 game and get pole-smoked by the kind of all-in monkeys that have come out of the woodwork since poker became "popular".Sorry. I'm mad. I'll stop now. :?

You always remember when your AA loses to KJs but not when your KJs beats AABut the real problem isn't the beats themselves, it's the aftermath. I've gotten to a place where I'll drop A-paint if I get raised even the minimum because I know... I just *know* that the doofus raising has some kind of 8-3 crap and is going to draw me out.If youre afraid that someone is going to draw you out, stop playing poker nowSo is there some universe in which I should stop bothering to play premium hands and just play garbage like all the people who have all my money do, or is this just one of the effects of online poker farting up the game for everyone?Yes only play crap hands, go allin with 72 and fold AA thats a much better waySpeaking of poker getting farted up (this goes a little OT, but it's still in the general area): I think maybe ESPN and whatnot should start showing the *whole* game. If you really want to primarily watch reruns of the Turning Stone tournament. The way I figure, at your average 10 top online table, you have two or three actual poker players and seven or eight Nintendo addicts who are "gunna go awl-inn lahk they doo awn that thar teevee, a-hyuk". I'm mad. I'll stop now. ConfusedAfter hearing all your complaints do the poker world a favor and stop playing. Youre doing yourself a favor from saving yourself from "SO MANY" bad beats. And it does us a favor because you will no longer waste our time with these P.O.S. posts

Seriously, what is your problem? I'm in the bad beats forum, talking about bad beats, and here you come with your attitude like I've done something wrong.Oh, and thanks for being brainwashed into thinking I've never picked up a deck of cards before five minutes ago just because my handle on the forum says "newbie". Shows how much thought you put into just about anything.Where do you play? Maybe I can make my money back.

No. You know what? Forget it. Congratulations. You've managed to run someone off.But before I go, I'm going to let the site admin know what a fine job you've done being a jerk. I know nothing will happen to you because you're such a wonderful person, but I might as well try. I'm sure Daniel will be happy to know that such lovely people as you are so warmly welcoming to newcomers to his forum.thanks for nothing, jerk.

I honestly think that for every 20 times i get given a bad beat, i suck out once. Probly because i rarely go all in without the better hand. I Just got knocked out of a 500 man tournament due to a semi-bad beat Where my A,10 suited lost to A,4 unsuited. I went all in Preflop because my chips were at 4k, and the blinds were at 1/2k... X X X X came on the flop/turn, and of course the 4 came and "riverd" me. Had i won that hand i know i would have definetely finished in the top 10 (where the money was at).During the tournament i won 4 hands, of just over 100.

Currently I feel like one, I have done nothing but loose to 2 and 3 outers lately, but you just have to remember the times you get lucky.

.....no...you dont suck out once for every 20 bad beats....and you must have been very close to the bubble. I wouldnt be "sure" id make the money after doubling up to 4xBB
