I've just started playing MTT's and was wondering if I played this hand ok.I read somewhere on two plus two that the players who do good in these things tend try to exploit small edges early on to build a large chip stack. At this stage in the tournament, there were about 420 players left, with the average stack around 4000. I was at 5500, and the blinds were 100/200. I've also seen people push all in with very mediocre hands so far. That being said, am I at the stage where I should wait for a better spot to put my chips in the middle, or should I still be willing to take risks (ala my call on the flop all in raise)? My other question is about my initial flop call. Should I smooth call BB's all in to try and extract chips from UTG+1, or should I raise to stop UTG+1 from outdrawing me or to find out where I stand in the hand?I appreciate all comments from people who know what they're talking about and I'll post the results later.
