FullTilt $1/$2Preflop: econ_tim2 folds, econ_tim calls.Flop: (6.5 SB) [Tc 2s Kc]BB checks, econ_tim Button calls.Turn: (6 BB) [8s][b]econ_tim Button calls.[b]River: (8 BB) [Qs][b]econ_tim folds.Final pot: 10 BBSo the river bet was stupid, but is the rest all right? Didn't have a read on the Button.

The rest of the hand seems fine...is that flop 3 bet standard?
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

I'd 3 bet that flop. You have about 20% chance to improve to 2 pair/trips (and if you hit trips, your opponent isn't going to suspect you had a 2) and 35% chance to hit the nut flush. Even if your opponent has KT here, you are a favorite, so not only is it a slight equity edge (big edge if he's playing like a QJ), but you maintain control. My question is, do you continue the aggression on the turn or check and see if you can get a free card?

I'd fold preflop from EP... But then again, A-rag (2-5) soooted has been a leak of mine according to Poker tracker. Otherwise, I think aside from the river you played it fine.

This was 8-handed (probably not clear because converter doesn't work with FullTilt) so I think the preflop play is standard.

i'd be interested in seeing what the regulars say about this one.imo, i would simply call the raise on the flop, C/C the turn UI and C/F the river UI. if he has flopped a set then a lot of your draws are weakened.anyone else?

On the flop, hero has a 55% equity against any broadway and AA-88. I would cap, given the chance.Im really not sure about the turn bet. He could fold, and if you check he is going to bet, so I think a bet is fine. "If you're going to call a bet, it's better to bet yourself". Although the former quote is generally correct, it sucks to get raised on this turn. But because it was a relatively safe turn, I don't think it happens much.C/f the river.

he has 55% chance to imrove to a better hand, not equity though...in this case he has about 5% equity edge...he's contributing 50% of the money in the pot because its heads up, but he expects to get back 55% of it..so he has 5% equity edge...thats what equity is :D
visit www.highstackpoekr.com in a couple weeks!!! should be some very resourceful things on there!

that's what equity is.A2s is winning 55% of the time, therefore has a 55% equity. And because we are putting in 50% of the money, we have a 5% equity edge.
