In this time where over 150,000 people have died and thousands more displaced due to the recent Asian Tsunami, I am very happy to see that PokerStars is doing something to help. They recently announced that they will match, dollar for dollar, any donations made through their site to the International Red Cross to support victims of this tragedy. They are also offering Donation tournaments and even setting up a table at the WPT event in Atlantis. The online poker business is staggeringly profitable due to it's scalability, so I hope other poker sites will follow suit in doing something for this worthy cause.

I should also add that they've already raised over $90k in donations.
