TrueAce13 18
I mean, i don't think it is the worst board tbh, if he is calling you on the flop, he could have 5x, top pair, or FD. The calling down seems like a FD. I'm vbetting this river a lot of the time

SGFULTON83 0
I like a 1/2 pot bet here. Most people aren't going to be able to check-raise the nuts on the river, so I would expect a straight to bet the river almost always. If we do get raised, a fold would be in order. Nashtak 0
I'd rather check here in case he's trapping. We have been betting on every streets afterall. I probably wouldn't slowplay here if i were villain, but i sure as hell wouldn't call with anything weakier than a straight. We are in position so no need to worry about appearing weak, just check it down.Do you guys believe there is any value in betting hoping for a pair to call?
Mercury69 3
I'd be more inclined to check behind, rather than pop in a bet that could easily get repopped (by an 8 or a bluff...could happen).
RISEorFall 0
i would bet like 250-300 and fold to a shove. he most likely has the 5 if he was going for a straight, and with his turn call he probably has 2 pair that will have a hard time folding.

What is it that you see that i don't?
rrumsey 0
i think a check loses lots of value to possible weaker set IMO. personally i think villain may be horrible this is a weird board and he is still around so if he is good we are dead and if he sucks we pass go and collect $

The board texture isn't as great as it appears b/c it was a gutter straight draw, the FD missed. If we get c/r'ed, I'm prolly going broke here tbh.We are going to be getting value from top pair, two pair, and a weaker set (though I don't think he has a weaker set or a set here like ever)...we are getting value from a ton of hands. It is just really unlikely that he called down with a gutter imo
Avii 0
Tnx guys, great responses so far!The consensus seems to be that we should b/c. I checked behind because1) I have strong showdown value, so I'd definitely hate to b/f2) I have no idea what kind of villain this is3) board is too coordinated, which is a great opportunity to bluff an unknown imoso i k'd behind. villain showed up with flopped top two . TrueAce13 18
sounds about right
RISEorFall 0
He had a pair and an open-ended straight draw and decided to check-call it instead of leading out or check-raise what could easily be a c-bet? What is it that you see that i don't?my point was that he most likely has 2 pair, and the 5 shouldnt scare us too much because if he was going for a straight he probably had the 5, not drawing to it.
