After being taken to a seventh game in the qualifying round by a less talented but very hard working mustang team, it appears that the Steelheads are now running on all cylinders in their quest for the Reject Cup. The scare provided by the 'stangs has forced the Steelheads to buckle down and work harder. The sketchy goaltending has actually settled in and provided some stability, and the scoring is a little more balanced. Despite a brief scare that Captain Sidney Crosby had his leg amputated during an attempted murder yesterday by convicted goon Steve Downie, the team is now poised to clinch their semi-final series in four straight games, leading the Purple Hearts (or is is Haze??? WHO THE HELL KNOWS?) by three games to zip. If the Steelheads can clinch, they would move on to play the winner of the Whalers, with their GM Arp 'The Tank', or the PK Dealers.
