It has become a joke.I'll be watching also. I refuse to root for the poker girls.

wsox8 10
I didn't like Tiffany Michelle before and this episode didn't help at all. Wow she was a bitch but Maria seems pretty nice. I think I'll be rooting for the Globetrotters.

I think I'll be rooting for the Globetrotters.Just finished watching it. I don't think they came off that bitchy, I think people were just pissed that they lied right off the bat. It's a game people get over it.This is such a great reality show. There were points in the show (especially with the license plate thing at the beginning) where my heart actually started beating fast and I was talking to the TV lol.I think there are a lot more likeable teams this season. I'm rooting for the team that has the guy with aspergers syndrome.I went to high school with the guy who was eliminated at the end of the episode. He was a senior when I was a freshman. I know this because I got in a fight with his little brother and he came in and threw me against a wall and broke up the fight. lol small world.
Mercury69 3
Sushi roulette with wasabi bombs!!! Japanese game show madness!!!I'm rooting for Team Montana, although Team Asburger is pretty funny. The Team Jew is pretty cool, too. that Christian chick (Mika?) is moking hot. outsider13 0
If I have to hear Tiffany Michelle say how she is a "very successful professional poker player" one more time, I may have to kill a kitten. I will be rooting for the Globetrotters too, and I thought that quircky eccentric guy who took off his shoes in Vietnam was pretty funny too.The thing I hate about the producers of this show is that they try to over-do the relationship part. I understand that they try to get some sort of attachment to the so called "character", but I just think its over done. It seems they portray half the relationships as borderline, and the race is what will bring them together. I just think they try to hard to get this point across, because it almost seems scripted. Governator 54
Eliminating a team in the first like 5min with a license plate game... that sucks! I was kind of hoping they'd cut them a break and let them skip the first leg of the race and fly to vietnam instead of japan. lol.
TheWynn 0
I don't think I will watch this show because of Tiffany Michelle. I really don't know why she holds herself in such high regard. And to consider herself as "a very successful poker player" and "actress" is reeeeaaaaaally far-fetched. I wish someone would kick her ass.
GWCGWC 83
There's just no way I could do a wasabi bomb. The globetrotters made me chuckle for the first time while watching this show. The producers love the hot chicks with gay boyfriends angle. Japanese women can be exceptionally good looking.

bleacherbum3 9
Just watched the season premiere. Looks good as always.Sucks for the team eliminated at the starting line, but they didn't seem like they would be all that interesting to watch. And I was glad to see Garrett/Jessica eliminated (should've been Maria/Tiffany but being a 2 hour episode, I knew they'd be saved. They weren't going to eliminate 2 teams on the first night). He reminded me of that guy last season (Terrence?) who acted like a spazzy gay guy and berated his GF the entire race.I don't like Lance, he's an obnoxious goon, and I can't stand Tiffany Michelle either. She's pretty damn full of herself for a chick who at best is barely above average attractive-wise and looks old for her age. And if she were truly a "very successful pro poker player", odds are someone out of 11 teams would've actually recognized her. She ran like a golden luckbox in 1 main event, otherwise we wouldn't even know who she is. You want to put poker players on the Amazing Race, let Mike Matasow and Gavin Smith do it. It would be hilarious to watch Mikey run around Tokyo with his fanny pack on.But other than those 2, I agree with Tanner, and I think this season will be enjoyable to watch because there are many likable teams. I like Team Ass-Burger, the father-son team is ok, and the gay brothers seem cool.Hard to pick a favorite yet. The competition seems pretty wide open. I'm rooting for Meghan/Cheyne (it does bother me he spells his name that way though). She's super cute and he does not seem to be the super-tool I thought he'd be. Also rooting for the Globetrotters. The older couple seems nice but boring, same with the inter-racial couple. And that Mika chick is hot too, but her and country music boyfriend don't seem all that bright. I think they will struggle a bit.

SBriand 4
Finally watched it last night. It was funny because earlier in the night I was switching between the Tigers/Twins game and the WSOP on ESPN and they were showing all the girls left and I made mention that at least none of them acted like that bitch Tiffany. My wife said that I should watch the Amazing Race because there were two poker bitches on it. Lo and behold, there is Tiffany. Ugh. I wasn't aware when watching it that it was a 2 hour so I was pretty excited to see her come in last on the first leg only to have Phil blindside me with a non elimination round.I hate the idea of kicking someone off in the first 5 minutes. I think it is a lame attempt at drama and completely unfair to all the contestants. Sure it's 5 minutes of excitement but its a 11 week show. Unnecessary in my opinion. My favorite teams are assburgers, montana's, and the globetrotters.I can deal with the blonde guy and girl and the two gay guys.Hate the poker brats, the "lawyer", the Christians, and the weird older lady gets on my nerves.Another thing that a friend pointed out. Why the need to introduce yourself as Christians? Seems that is common on all reality shows. I think if I ever get on I am going to make a point to say I am not Christian but I will be praying to God for the next 11 weeks that he will let me win this race. I did enjoy during the duck thing where the Christian guy was yelling at his Christian girlfriend and he said that he was going to "rip her head off." Awww, how sweet. Dude needs to get laid. I would have been pissed though if I made it through all the interviews and production, then out in 5 minutes. As for the Christians, I don't think that the two were introducing themselves to everyone in the race as "the christians." That is a production thing, and they will edit everything together to make the best storyline. So that isn't necessarily their fault, it is how CBS wanted them to be portrayed. It's just an observation though about reality shows in general that a friend mentioned and I don't necessarily disagree with it. But these two are clearly the type that wanted to tell that part of their story as their intro was based on that alone and that she brought up the whole against her religion to have sex before marriage part and what a trooper he was by not trying to get in her pants.
