I think the appropriate term people use around here is fistpumpcheckraiseallin?

lol, my reasoning being that, more often than not at these limits, a very oddly large preflop raise means like TT/JJ type hands that the villain is afraid to have to play when he sees a flop with any overcards. Depending very much on my read of villain, my image, and even just my mood, I think my preflop play can vary widely here between flat/raise/shove, flatting only occasionally of course but still something I keep in my repertoire.

thats why i am asking if we just shove preflop, cuz say we 3 bet and he calls then overs hit to his pair and we c-bet and he is like well now i bet he has one of those and folds.

whereas if we push preflop villain may think this could be AK or a lesser pair and call. i dont really see villain opening 20BBs and then folding to a push.

$3

a high flop turn on c-c mode.

You don't always have to c-bet. I think there was a thread a while back T-skillz had about not c-betting 3 bet pots where an A comes on the flop with your entire range. It was great advice imo.

Yeah, tskillz wrote about that in one of my live game threads. Absolutely great advice that has become my default play.

Flops are kind of like vagina's. The wetter they are, the harder you hit them.

Don't recall the thread you guys are talking about, maybe it was before my time here, if anyone can produce a link to it I'd very much like to give it a read.

And droberts, yeah you're fine on that reasoning, shoving prf is ok, IMO. I think a $3ish standard raise is probably my default. Then if he flats that we're trying to get it in on about any flop, no?

Great advice. Overshoving is just a bad play in my opinion and i think if i remember correctly Harrington proved huge overshoves with anyhand is just a horrible -EV play we want some action. C/c or c.r is best line if we see an ace. Don't be so scared to play postflop, you will lose some hands it happens don't be afraid of it thou, just don't stack off deep on an A high board.
and PS wow BigDMcgee is a total douche must have caught him in the wrong part of the month on his man period or something! and thanks for finding that post temp nuts!

He is a total donk if he is preflop calling shove with a small pocket pair don't count on this happening that much
