I'm sorry I'm even playing this, lol, still very hungover from last night and playing terribly...but anyway just had these two hands, butchered IMO, but curious to hear smart people's advice. Its the first round of the tourny, 4th and 6th hands actually, so I have no read on villains in either case. Please make comments clear about which hand/street/decision you are talking about, and thanks..Hand 1PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 11 Tournament, 10/20 Blinds (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comMP2 (t3000)Hero (MP3) (t2970)CO (t3580)Button (t2400)SB (t2980)BB (t2980)UTG (t2420)UTG+1 (t1970)MP1 (t4700)Hero's M: 99.00Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A

Hand 1 IPITS, although I think you are probably not going to win the hand.Hand 2, raise somewhere please. I raise the flop, but as played to the turn raise turn. River call is fine.

Flops are kind of like vagina's. The wetter they are, the harder you hit them.

previous posts sum it up pretty well. Hand 1 is played, but you want to fold flop or turn against nits. Hand 2, raise the flop.

Hand 1, out of curiosity, what would be the most you would be willing to call on river if villain bet it?Hand 2, agreed.

Hand two, i raise bigger preflop in a 9 max 60ish to 75ish to try and protect my hand a little more because we are acting so early you gave the blinds great odds to come along after someone flatted, im raising that flop all day to isolate that is a micro bet by him pump it up with like a 3/4 pot bet, should leave you heads up with BB and makes it eaiser to milk the later streets.

I'd play the first hand the same way too. What did the villain have? 7-9?Check behind on the river seems pretty passive unless he was putting you on a flush draw.As for the second hand, you already know the answer. Raise the flop. Did villain have 5? Why did you play it so passively?
