http://www.grantland...-bryant-in-him"And so it begins. The media is so, so terrible.
Durant shot well over 50% in the Finals and played to a B+ level generally. He needs to get better at rebounding and such but he is 23! God, I was so hoping you would be wrong about a Thunder backlash; it's completely undeserved. Durant takes mostly good shots and is only like Kobe in the good sense. Ugh. Don't blame you for jumping on the OKC bandwagon.

JVG is god. He's intelligent, he explains things about the game that I would never no, and he talks shit about things he doesn't like freely. He's great
Yeah, I didn't know there were people who didn't like JVG.Ok, holy balls at that game. Just raining down 3's. Mike Miller, man. I said when the playoffs started that if Lebron can win a title and Finals MVP, this season has to be in the discussion of greatest ever. I was genuinely happy for him last night. Not anybody else on the Heat (maybe Spoelstra a little), but that's ok. What will be your lasting image of Lebron after it was clear they were going to win? Giddily jumping up and down on the sideline? Him and Wade together? For me, it was that hug of Durant. I thought that said a lot about him.

Oh, and one thing I learned from the last two games:Derek Fisher is stronger than Lebron.Game 4, Fish runs Lebron over. Game 5, Lebron at full speed, Fish standing there, Fish completely stops him.Seriously, that was impressive, right? (Super lame flagrant call too. And makes every Fish flop (heh, Fish flop) look even worse.)

I thought that was obviously unnecessary contact by fisher on Lebron. And jvg's outrage is what pissed me off. Looked to me like fisher went in hard with the shoulder.

Honestly, I think it' sgoing to take another playoff failure for the media to get their pitchforks out for Durrant. I think the Punching Bag for the next few years will be Dwight Howard.

Larry Bird resigns from the Pacers. I imagine he'll stay on through the draft, but the timing really sucks

The future luxury tax is really going to effect teams. Sorry Lakers fans but you can't win in the future with Kobe making what he does. Why 2013 Is Dictating The NBA Rumors We See In 2012

good article bob. i knew the lakers were going to be boned by the new taxes, but 50 million in luxury tax is untenable. i don't see how they don't move gasol for something, anything really.pistons just unloaded ben gordon to the bobcats for magette's expiring. cost the pistons a first (lottery protected) next year. i don't have an opinion really.

It 's also the best thing for the lakers. THey aren't going to win anything with this team, as constructed. If you blow it up and rebuild, you waste precious kobe years, his skills are already declining. And, it will be very, very difficult to successfully blow up the team, with kobe making that much of a percentage of the capThe lakers are good enough to be tuck in 1st and 2nd round purgatory. But they are not going to win another championship as long as Kobe is eating up that much of the payroll He's also untradeable. Dwight isn't coming. Deron isn't coming. There's no hope. Blow it up, amnesty KB, build around bynum.
