I wasn't saying that to hate on Kobe. He was the 2nd biggest part of 3 rings and the biggest part of 2 rings. I'm just saying that some guys take the contested jumper there (Kobe, Wade, Melo), some guys pass (Magic, Lebron), and some guys could go either way (Chris Paul, MJ).
I'm not sure MJ passed more than a few times in those situation.

But he did pass twice on championship clinching shots so that has to count for a lot,I wonder why Derrick rose is such a sourpuss.

I can't decide how I feel about the all star game thing. I think I like that he doesn't fuck around.

I love guys like that. All business. Wants to destroy you. MJ, Kobe, Bird. You know who else I love? Guys who are just out there having fun. Basketball is fun! Magic, Shaq. The all-business guys go over better among fans if you're a player who hasn't won anything yet. Once you've won, you can be a fun guy.

If the playoffs started today...(1) Chicago(8) New York(2) Miami(7) BostonI need either Chicago and Miami or Boston and New York to switch places. These match-ups are great for the first round, but Miami-NY and Chi-Bos would be fantastic.(3) Orlando(6) AtlantaFamiliar.(4) Philadelphia(5) IndianaThis would probably be the most competitive while simultaneously being the least compelling.(1) OKC(8) MinnesotaYES. If these two teams meet in the playoffs, we could have a rivalry develop between two good, young teams. (2) San Antonio(7) DenverThis would be pretty good I think.(3) Memphis(6) DallasDallas would probably be the popular "upset" pick, reversing their role from last year- holy shit, Memphis is a 3? When did that happen?(4) LAC(5) LALoh my god

Things are getting ugly in Laker Land with Kobe pissing off Gasol with his selfish play and Mike Brown being Mike Brown which means he can't control a superstar.http://ca.sports.yah...-144531785.htmlIf the Lakers do play the Clippers it'll be an interesting series. The team with the worst Point Guards in the league against the team with the worst 2-Guards in the league. Vinny Del Negro vs Mike Brown for who is a worse coach.

NBA Trade MachinePau to Houston.Kyle Lowry to Phoenix.Steve Nash and Luis Scola to LA.This trade is successful!Phoenix gets younger and cheaper with a good PG.Houston, um, gets Pau Gasol.Lakers get a decent replacement for Pau while wildly upgrading at PG.Let's do this!I probably need to get a PG back to Houston.Houston can have Andrew Goudelock too. Darryl Morey says he likes to take a lot of fliers on young players hoping one of them hits; let's sell him on this guy.Flyers or fliers?

Probably but they have Dragic and Johnny Flynn there. I'm not sure if Flynn is horrible now or if there just aren't any minutes available for him.

Roland Lazenby ‏ @lazenbyIt seems we'll soon be getting news that Gasol has been traded. No details confirmed, but he's apparently gone.Adrian Wojnarowski ‏ @WojYahooNBAHouston has continued to aggressively probe the Lakers on a potential Pau Gasol trade, but there's no deal close, league sources tell Y!Zach Lowe ‏ @ZachLowe_SIFew, if anyone, know the Lakers better than @lazenby.

I hope that there are lots of trades just for my amusement.I'm thinking that Gasol might be happy to get out of LA and away from the Lakers right about now.

That Atlanta trade is interesting. Smith wants out in Atlanta if you believe the stories.

Ricky Rubio's injury makes me sad.The Lakers sandwiched wins against Miami and Boston around losses to Detroit and Washington. Because that makes sense.

Yes.They're really, really good at home. I don't know where the Miami game was, and I'm not going to look it up.Watching the Celtics play regularly is pure misery. I'm pretty sure they're in the bottom half of NBA teams I'd like to watch.

It was in LA. I don't know who I like to watch anymore. Definitely Miami. OKC is must-watch. I'm happy if the Clips or Bulls are on the nationally televised game. Minny was, but now I'm sad again. It's a short list. And yet if a game is on, I'm going to be watching it. This is why sports leagues can have lockouts.
