I'm pretty deep into this session and am sitting on about $450. I'm not sure how I am perceived. I showed down 9h-2h in an all in pot in which I raised preflop and have been hearing flack about it (which is lovely). I've just taken down the last 3 pots. One with 2-2 on a K-K-2 flop. Another with 7-7 on a K-T-7 rainbow and only got 1 street of value after a 3 on the turn. The third in a three way all in (one was uber short with $20) with 9-9.

I'm in the BB with Ac-2h. Pot limps around with everybody except the SB who saves his dollar (nit). I check dark cuz I'm a donk like that.

Pot: $17

Flop: As Jc 2d

table checks around

Turn: 7c

I lead for $15. Folds around to Villain who raises to $40. He has been chatting it up and calling me the "professional" and stating that "I won't mess with you man I need to stay out of your way!" And then laughs his head off. He's said that like every time and keeps announcing whenever he picks up 9-2 because he thought that was the greatest thing ever for some reason.

Folds to me, I ask how much villain has left because he's leaning over top of his chips. He says about 70.

Push now? Call / Push a good river? Call and let villain fire river?

I call and let him fire river. I don't like the spot btw...him chatting about not messing with you then raising after you led into a table full of opps. It looks like hes pretty strong IMO.

I would shove - your image is crap so he could be raising wide here and calling you down light.

+1

Also, I'm not huge on tells but if he's sitting up over his chip stack; looking strong=weak??

Not a ton of fold equity, which in this case is good, cause we're way stronger than villain is suspecting.

No, it was his standard posture. I make the comment because I believe having to ask how much is a situation a player should avoid as much as possible.

I'm not going to fold two pair here, I'd go ahead and shove. It's kind of dirty, but your hand is under repped and stacks are shallow.

i would for some reason fold, why because of the chatter, he has probably been hoping to trap you and i think this may look like AJ trapping here. He reraises bigish because he is leveraging his stack to prevent you from call with a flush draw because he isn't deep enough to pay you off enough when you do hit. It smells a little like a trap to me but second best option is a shove, don't ever flat here flush could hit, straights could hit, and you still don't have a great idea of where you are at. the good and bad of looking very lag is you get a lot of play back, the bad is you don't always know what is playing back at you all the time. IDK just my opinion and most of y'all are smarter than me

how lagish have you been? would he play back with just a flush draw or JX? then shove looks better but he would have to be playing very loose against you for that to happen

I actually haven't been too bad. My perceived image by the fish is a maniac. I kept the table talk circling my "terrible" plays, but the good/decent players at the table picked up on what I was doing. Even one of the dealers tried to defend my 9-2 play by saying I was in position but the fish just got more confused by that The guy to the left of me was keeping a low profile conversation with me and told me he picked up on it.

It only really takes 1 or 2 showdowns where you raised preflop with rags to attain that image. I wasn't spewing like crazy to get it.

meh, 60 bbs deep I probably just shovel the turn. Don't really love the situation though. Was he the button in this hand? Is he the type to limp with any 2 suited cards on the button?

I lead the flop, but I guess going for a c/r isn't bad. What position is the villain? I ask because it potentially affects his range. It's a really awkward spot. I might go ahead and get it in, but I'm not happy about it. The big problem from my perspective is that there are so few reasonable worse two pair combos. That lends him to having a set, a semi-bluff, a bare ace, or a bluff.

Position didn't affect this guy's range at all that I noticed during the session.

I shoved he folded. I showed him a deuce for comedy value and he went into a rant about "you got me with the ****ing nine deuce!"

Stacks are so small this is an OK spot to call and get him in on the river.
