I never know the best way to respond to the donk in this situation. unless I know he is uber aggressive, I'm raising for value on the flop since he hardly ever has us beat and often has a lower pp that will call a raise. Too many action killers can come on the turn if we just call, IMO. Since the only read we have is that he is a donk, I'm def. raising flop.

We don't know that he's a donk. He was saying it's a donk bet. I don't mind action killing cards our hand is a medium strength hand with showdown value, we want to get to showdown cheap. If we raise and he folds then we just folded out a hand we were beating. If we raise and he calls with worse which I think is optimistic, it still puts in a weird spot, are we really trying to get 3 streets of value here? If we check back turn and he bets river are we just stationing? Get to showdown and note wtf he's limp/calling with oop and donkign half pot with on paired/flush draw board imo.

I don't think I was paying close enough attention at the time because it wasn't until I posted the hand that I realized he limp-called. That most likely eliminates hands like QQ-AA, AK, and possibly AJ from his range. His most likely range is something like 22-TT, Axhh, and maybe a couple of mediocre Q's (QJ, QTs).If I raise I risk folding out the 22-TT hands but there is a slew of Axhh hands I have to worry about giving free cards to.

was he multitabling, if he was and that is why he isn't paying attention too well im flatting to see if he shuts down on a later street were we take it down, but if he donks all the way im worried but we flat all the way for at least some info and we do have decent equity here

I don't think we can expect 3 streets of value here, which is why I think we need to extract value on the flop when the villain still likes his hand.Honestly, I think we are ahead soooooooooooooooooooo often here; Your average player isn't donking into the preflop raiser when he flops trips. unless we know we have a very aggressive opponent who is going to fire 3 streets with worse, I think we need to raise. If we get called, I'm probably checking back turn and betting river if checked to me, or calling a bet if he bets.
