You can see her point though.. Simon is reportedly going to get $160 mill for the year, Seacrest getting like $15 mill per year now.... $2 mill does seem kinda small in that context. I don't think she has the same value as those two, but the show is making craploads of money it certainly makes sense for her to try and get more.

agree. If they offer 4 mill, she should take it. There is a reason Simon gets all the mobneys. He IS American Idol. When does Seacrest's deal with the devil expire again?I wonder what Randy (aka chubby Stuart Scott, dog!) makes?

Randy is locked up through 2011 already. I think Ryan is pretty important to the show. They really can't lose him or Simon.

Wow! That is a little outrageous. I thought it was a multi-year contract, but 160 mil per year! Jesus christ!
The show makes about $1 billion per season, and without Simon Cowell there's no show whatsoever, no one would watch it. I don't think it's that far out of line to be honest. Just pisses me off that I'm not the guy who gets $160 million to tell people they suck for a living. I'd be good at that job.

Looks like it is official.http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/TV/08/05/p...gone/index.htmlI love how they make it look like it was her decision, but then go on to say:

Sonenberg told the newspaper it was "unnecessarily hurtful" to Abdul that they have not received "any proposal whatsoever" from producers even though the judges will start auditioning contestants for the next season on August 6.
