Did he molest children? I have no idea, but I think there's a reasonable chance that he did not, and a reasonable chance that he did. Was he extremely weird and sexually repressed, conflicted, and/or secretive? Yes. Were a lot of his behavioral problems likely caused by his bizarre and abusive childhood? Yes. Did zillions of people absolutely love his music and his performances? Yes. I wasn't a big fan or anything but I can certainly understand the outpouring of sadness and sympathy. I dunno - if you can watch early Jackson 5 videos and not understand why it's a shame that the planet lost such a talented, unique, exciting personality, then I guess I don't understand the collective you. Yes, he had become somebody very different-looking, and no he was not still churning out the hits, but in the end he was still the same person who made all those amazing songs. We should hold memorials like this for the soldiers dying everyday in the war, or get the families together of fireman and policeman who died in the line of duty, they deserve it more than some secluded hermit who sang some pretty awesome songs 20 years ago. As far as the soldiers lets face there is never enough praise and thanks we could ever give them.
