after buying 11 step 1 tickets, I finally managed to build it up to a step 4 ticket. That in itself is a nice result for me, especially since I got lucky on the elimination bubble in step 3. Too bad you can't convert tickets to cash, otherwise I would do that now and start over. Since that is not a possiblity, I'm wondering whether I should
A) continue playing steps in order to enter the WSOP main event step qualifier tournament 2/12 at step 6.
B ) enter one of those 215$ double shootouts to qualify for the WSOP main event. (EDIT: apparently B and ) turns into a
C) keep the ticket and play in some other tournament (Sunday Million) with it.
Right now I'm leaning towards option B, but snagging the top spot in a sit and go can be tough. Since you're on the money after the first part of the shootout, I'm not too bothered about getting lightning to strike twice.
In any case, assuming that all goes incredibly well and I qualify for the WSOP, then those 1000$ won't even cover the flight, but I should probably pay the difference and go just for the experience.
My question regarding that is whether day 1 has sold out already? I would hate to fly all the way through 8 time zones jet lagged as hell and then having to play right away. If day 1 is sold out, then I can just leisurely arrive on the second or third, get some sleep and play on one of the next days, which would be more of an incentive to give qualifying a shot.
Also, Pokerstars says that they provide 8 days of accommodation, with further days added if you happen to run deep in the tournament. What exactly is the start date for that? Is the accomodation starting from the night of the 2nd to the morning of the 10th or is it starting from the 3rd and running till the 11th? That would also be interesting to know, as flight schedules and hotel bookings for missing days are important to sort out in advance. That is all provisional, if I'm winning the qualifier of course. I'm getting ahead of myself, but if someone happens to know, it'd be great.
Any input on this would be appreciated
