The guy is among the most influential inventors in music history
Here's a few vids for your viewing pleasure

How High is the Moon one of his top hits.

On his creation of the overdub, the most important invention he came up with

Caravan

He still plays regularly at a club in New York the Iridium
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfje-o2Fgm0 here's a few songs from that.

And last but not least here's the Coors commercial he was in.

The guy influenced every guitarist in the 60s and 70s and on from Jimi Hendrix to Jimmy Page to Eddy Van Halen you name it and his inventions also influenced everyone in music. If you couldn't dub things in music you don't have music as we know it today.

Happy Birthday, Les!
“We had all the momentum. We were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look west, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark, that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.” —Raoul Duke, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas

The biggest invention from him was the overdub machines he basically started. Without those music really doesn't exist as we know it.

I have a great 1970-ish LP Custom. Great tone!

I went to his show in NYC @ Iridium a few years ago. He is a great guy with tons of stories.

He invented Reverb too, I believe.

Happy B-Day Mr. Paul
