Jariso13 1
Here is a spot where everything broke right...Now what is the proper way to play this..a) call and let the button draw for practically free at a boat...B) throw out a moderate raise making it more expensive for the button to call but pretty much playing my cards face up...c) shove...maybe the buttons a little slow and will think im trying to be tricky and call with somewhat of a lessor hand...d) something else...Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (3 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comSB ($16.55)Jariso13 (BB) ($86.65)Button ($57.50)Preflop: Jariso13 is BB with 8, AButton bets $1.75, SB calls $1.50, Jariso13 calls $1.25Flop: ($5.25) Q, 7, 3(3 players)SB checks, Jariso13 checks, Button bets $4, SB calls $4, Jariso13 calls $4Turn: ($17.25) 2(3 players)SB checks, Jariso13 checks, Button bets $8, SB raises to $10.80 (All-In)Total pot: $33.25Now what? slink 1
Normally I'd choose option A but I learned my lesson last night, so I go with option C and if the Button decides to go with it, great, and if not then you only have one person drawing to the FH.
SwolyswoND 1
Raise flop.As played, you really just have to shove and hope someone holds the . No need at all to get tricky here.
DemonDonk 0
I think the BTN is liable to shove over the top if you just call. You're call would look really weak and button would shove with his AA KK QQ maybe AQ, although shoving is perfectly fine too.

A call would look extremely strong, and no one is ever shoving with those hands you listed that don't contain a diamond.
XXEddie 0
a) call and let the button draw for practically free at a boat...Who says the button has 2 pair or a set? AA/KK/QQ/Qx/88-JJ....hell he raised from the button 3 handed. He could have anything. I would say at least 75% of the time here he is drawing dead. I think the BTN is liable to shove over the top if you just call. You're call would look really weak and button would shove with his AA KK QQ maybe AQ, although shoving is perfectly fine too.False. I would bet you $100 and give you 10-1 that if we flat call the button will not shove. NeverFold pre.Shove flop.LOL at this entire post. 3 handed vs a button raise and a sb flat I would easily call this, possibly even 3 bet. Then you are suggesting that into the $15 pot....you should just shove when the button still has $50 behind? ooooooo tay.i like to just call and to donk shove any river that don't pair the boardI like this with the exception of firing $20-ish into any river as opposed to shoving any non-board pairing card . Come on people, it is a button raise on a 3-handed table. Why are you all assuming he has a set or 2 pair here...?
SCS 0
Call is standard against most btn raisers and sb callers preflop.Raise the flop and get it in there. AINEC.
DemonDonk 0
Looking at the play, I think that SB probably doesn't have much of a hand on the flop, a set would probably raise that flop, so he either has a lower flush or some kind of goofy two pair by the turn, although I can't think of a 2P combo that sounds realistic for either player. BTN could have QQ or 77, but more likely he has AA, KK, AQ, etc. I think just call and shove a non paired river card to get max value (hopefully not another diamond because you'll not get another penny)
gooch 0
i would raise to try and make it look like you are isolating

Either the villain has a high diamond or he doesn't. Stop and go'ing here on a non paired river basically screams out that you have the Ad. Calling looks TONS stronger than raising. Jariso13 1
Results...and my thinking...I made it 20...he raised...i went all in and beat his king high flush which he also turned. The SB had something silly like qj and was drawing dead. Why I think this is the best option...a moderate raise lets him know I'm strong, but if hes drawing at something he will put the money in the pot now. If he just has a random hand there is also always a chance that he calls now because of the fact that he already has money in on this street and feels committed (even though it defies logic). If I let him see the river without making him put more money in I lose out on potential money that I could have made if he was on a flush draw and blanked out on the river. The key here was to make the guy put the money in well he thought he still had a chance.
