you make a big bluff raise on the turn in position, and the opponent calls then fires a tiny min raise on the river? I cannot find a fold even with air, nor can i find a raise, seeming as he has proven himself incapable of folding to my BIG RAISE. That leaves calling but that just gives up another little bit of you're stack?

People keep doing this, once i just called with ace high and won. Oh to be playing micro stakes.

This is very vague.

The answer depends on opponent tendencies and board texture.

I'm guessing when you won with A high, villain had bet a missed draw on the river.

I'll paint a picture:
.01/.02
Loads of folds
Hero (BTN) has Ah Td
Hero raises to 0.06
sb folds
BB calls

flop comes 3c 5c Jd
BB bets .10
Hero calls .10

turn 8c
BB bets .10
Hero raises to .55
BB calls .45

River 2h
BB bets .02
Hero ???

this was just a made up example of what i'm talking about.

I don't understand, surely bluffing is part of the game, sure it is best done in moderation, but surely it is right to do it sometimes? And i'm not sure what this topic has to do with me bluffing to much,

whatever, forget it. I'll lurk from now on.

at that level guys have a problem laying down most hands, so instead of bluffing as much, make them pay with good hands

i play these stakes on the moment and I've watch the DN challenge on poker VT and he said something I was doing...
DON'T BLUFF

make moves that looks like a bluff with a good hand and 100% sure you're gonna be paid...it's much more valuable than a stone cold bluff...and it's works waaaaaaay more often... and it's good for your bankroll

If you're going to do anything raise the flop. It has the same effect and its cheaper. Plus if your opponent was drawing you make him pay to do it.

I would raise this flop all day ($25nl and $50nl) but at this level people dont fold a weak top pair, which is often what a donk bet like this is.

once I make that turn bet and he min blocks the river I think I'm raising again.

not to say I love the line, but if this is how it plays out then I'm willing to fire again based on how this line goes. (I don't feel like scrolling up to see how much villian has, so this is dependent on villian have at least a buck left.)

this was just an example this is not a line i usually take, but it seems that people do that a lot, and it is infuriating.

I think he stole your position bluff and played it out.

I personally would have made sure that the "muck losing hand" was checked off in settings and then called the river.

That kind of crap is frustrating but at micro stakes it happens.

Just because you muck your hand doesn't mean that the opponent cant see your hand. The cards will be in the hand history if the hand goes to showdown

bluffing at this level is really hard to pull off as people call you with ANYTHING. i might call in your example with ace high as a lot of players are stupid enough to bet small with a missed draw. i'd scale back the bluffing and wait for good spots to make some money.

Raise flop. If called give up on the hand unimproved.

You've given absolutely no stats or reads on BB though.
