What percentage of SNG's should I be cashing in for 45 or 90 man turbos on Stars? I have cashed 9 out of 40 times so far (22.5%). Would ROI be a better indicator even with the small sample size?

I just started the 90 man's and my roi for those is slightly higher.. i think im hitting over a 40% roi for 90 - 180 man's but my results are skewed by donking chips in 9 - 27 man's trying to improve my short handed play... you'd also need to include a buy in as the stakes clearly affect your results.. at higher stakes a 25% roi would be sick for 90 man's, i play low/micro where thats not as impressive....

If a brag post, congrats!!

As a question, I don't think there's a question here. It's all about your goal setting and what you think you can reasonably accomplish. Obviously a 22.5% cash rate on these is pretty solid....but I don't think someone could really quantify what would be a good percent "to be cashing in" is.

Those usually pay out top 10%, so theoritically, you should be cashing 10% of the time, with anything above that being acceptable. Then again as you note ROI is the really barometer for this as far as "success" goes.

@zinc I play 1.10's

@Max So what would a good ROI be in your opinion? This isn't meant to be a brag post, I'm just not sure whether this could be sustainable or if I am just on a heater statistically.

Honestly, I have no clue. Honestly a 1% ROI is good IMO because you are succeeding. Obv a 700% ROI would be preferred. I guess that's what my point was in the prior post. It all depends on the player I'd guess. A really good player honed in on the specific game type could probably yield a 50-100% ROI over a pretty large sample in these 90 person tournies. That's why I contend that your question is much more of a personal goal question. Sure 22.5% cash rates are sustainable....but I'd bet on it being a heater for anyone with a sample of 40 games rather than the norm. You need to be pretty very good to cash 1/4 times in tournies that 1/10 people cash and plan to sustain that for the 'long haul'. It's definitely possible....but just not probable. Just my thoughts.

Ok if you're playing micro stakes then the above post is pretty on the money... if you're not losing then congrats, because most players lose... i didnt think it was a brag post i think you were looking for where you stand compared to other successful players, and a 1% roi over the next however long means you can gamble for a small profit which is fine (again depending on your goals), you know you're doing well when your roi is above 0%, but i would re-evaluate after 100+ games at the same stakes and see if you notice a consistent trend of winning or if you really just got lucky...
Since i tend to multi table the micro games on stars for a small profit when im bored feel free to msg me if you have anything specific you want to know...

Thanks for the offer. I post a bunch of hands in the Tournament Play section. You should definitely post more often. The more posters the better it is for the forums.
