Hi Daniel, thanks for your update on your Mom. I know it's hard to hear sometimes when your mom has thoughts of giving up, or wanting to die. that's when you and your brother need to be a bit more forceful and stronger with her. My mom was the same way after her heart attack, trying to give up on life. You need to keep telling her that you need her and love her that you don't want to hear that. Tell her to start to work on her getting better. Tell her to work on building her strenght again that it will be an uphill battle but she is strong and that she can do it, with your help and the staffs help. Tell her she has to fight to get it back. Even practicing small squeezing of the hand or fingers each step is tiny but it's the move in the right direction. I hope you have time for a brief visit home before the WSOP starts. Just to tell her you love her and miss her and need her. it will be good for the both of you. Keep your mind focus on your game, and remember your mom will be there in your heart and soul backing you up. If you want I can send you some home made food to you lol, may not be as good as hers but pretty darn close. Take care my prayers continue to you and your family. gl in Monte Carlo

I love the game of poker for the competition, the psychology, the never-ending quest to improve, the advanced and sometimes minute complexities not everyone sees when they play, and the enjoyment of succeeding after giving all your energy to reach a goal that may at first seem unattainable but that you find a way to make it possible.

Daniel,Excellent advise from Rose. Your mom was allowed to live because she still has a purpose. She sounds like such a giving person through everything you've written about her, that if she can understand that she is still here maybe not for her, but for someone else, it may help give her some fight. Prayer does help, I'm sure you have seen it in your life in the past, and it will be no different for you to continue to pray for your mother, for your well being, and the rest of your family as you all help each other deal with your mother's recovery.Good luck in Monte Carlo.God Bless.
