A bad beat in at a bad time

I got to Bellagio late to sign up for their $500 +40 tourney the week before new years. I was alternate 47 and waited over an hour after the tourney to get seated.I sat down and first hand, under the gun, got pocket 8's. Raised 3x the bb and everybody folded but 1 caller. 8 came on the flop giving me a set. I check, he goes all in, I call. He has pocket J's. Turn gives me a boat, river is a J and I'm out of the tourney, IN THE VERY FIRST HAND, after waiting over an hour!All I could do was laugh. I guess someone was trying to tell me to go home, so i did.I hope this never happens to you.
