In the 5k hands or so ive played at 25NL donking that flop means nothing. my usual line is to just call and let them bet at the turn if I have a decent hand and raise if I don't. he ended up folding anyway, so meh.Button was pretty erratic. He was like 67/24/5 over about only 30 hands or something. He just tried a weird semibluff with the nfd on the turn in the last pot.

I personally raise on the flop. He rarely has better than a weak top pair here, and often has nothing (or at least very weak). By raising we often fold out better jacks or weak aces, and hes almost never betting again with nothing. Plus I like to set up an image with these idiots that I will pretty much always raise their donk bets, often they don't adjust and you end up stealing a ton of pots. I have notes on at least two players at 50nl who will always fold to a raise when they donk (which they do often).Anyway, his stats and his 'weird semi-bluff' from the last hand make me lean towards a call here. We were the pre-flop raiser, but just called the flop, so we are pretty under represented thus far. He could easily think he's raising some middle ace for value. I call and c/c river.

Like A9 or A8? I agree. I think AQ/AK could be a holding too. If he's the type to overvalue these hands multiway and "trap" with them then I can call here and c/c river. Its basically a min-raise, and they're ghey. So I call.

Even if he's spewy I think this is a fold. KQ/89/AT are definite candidates. A7/AJ are possibilities too. We only really beat T7/J7. Some of our outs aren't clean and we only have 3 or 4 anyway.
77 also

ok so Hero calls. River is a blank (i dont remember, no club no broadway, lets say 5h). Hero checks, villain pushes, Hero....i was putting him on AK/AQ or some type of pair+draw (like QJ clubs). Of course could have AJ/AT/A7/77/KQ.i think he atleast has a pair given the action thus far. i havent seen enough hands to tell me he would stone cold bluff 2 opponents. even if i dont think hes bluffing/semi bluffing (since he attempted one last hand and might think i would suspect him of it) do we still call here?

I almost always dump the turn, so the river is an instafold imo. We're so veryyyyyyyyy rarely ever good on the turn and villain is always shoving the river with the retarded line he took.

This. I think we should just shove the turn if we think we're ahead then; and how many cards are we SURE make us the winner on the river? 4?. I'm folding it though. You massively overbet the turn, imo. The board is sooo drawy now that you're not chasing anyone away and anyone with a better hand is at least calling.I might even just c/c the turn.

really?i dont think it's all that draw heavy considering the flop.there were a couple gutshots on the flop, and if anyone picked up a club draw it had to be like J9 QJ of clubs.i dont like checking the turn, giving naked Aces and gutshot broadways a free chance to draw. and shouldnt we be betting the turn, especially because it's so draw heavy? in a tournament it might be better to give them a free shot to preserve our stack, but is that true in a cash game where I can make them pay to draw, especially if i can give them bad odds (i'm assuming i dont pay off most straight cards, and some flush cards)

I think it's a matter of what your equity is against their likely holdings. I don't think we have much fe against anything that beats us or draws well, and I think almost all players call with gutshots on flop, and probably call $4 with fd + a straightcard, that sort of thing. Button is behind us too.

we dont really need fe against the draws or pairs+draws, we just need to charge them to draw. right? or am i way off?

I may not be communicating my thoughts well or I may be flat wrong myself, but I feel like your line of thinking is best when we know we have the best hand, even if we're not a huge favorite to be that way by the river. I don't think we're ahead necessarily on this turn at all.

I raise flop and fold turn.

I think that this is a ridiculous, nonsensical, stupendously absurd overexhaggeration
