akoff 0 Posted April 14, 2009 Share Posted April 14, 2009 Has been the talk on Sports Radio all day...hundreds of Harry stories.As i a kid my Dad and i would watch several games a week together, in the 70's and early 80's I remember being down the shore and listening to him from radio to radio walking the beach in Ocean city...Dave Montgomery said it best "we've lost our voice"...Harry was the sound of baseball for almost 40 years in Philly. My 10 year old looked at me last night and said "but Harry calls our games"...his young mind never dreamed it would end.Amazing how a man who just talks into a mic can touch so many lives!!
