SmileNTilt 0
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comimportant stacksMP2 ($16.70)MP3 ($4.60)CO ($10.40)Button ($11.65)SB ($10)Hero (BB) ($15.55))UTG ($10.05)UTG+1 ($2)MP1 ($0.95)Preflop: Hero is BB with 9 , 9 2 folds, MP1 calls $0.10, 1 fold, MP3 calls $0.10, CO bets $0.50, 1 fold, SB raises to $1.50, Hero?Reads;CO is 27/8/6 over 108 hands - other than when he has been in the big blind and saw a free flop, I have only seen him make a standard raise with AJs and call a pf raise with A9o - both pots he won with top pair. Only goes to showdown with good hands, so its fairly easy to push him off the pot.SB is a multitabling reg - 6/5 over 75 hands and has not shown any hands downBeing out of position, I thought calling would be a mistake - because we dont know that CO will do and, even if he only calls I would be out of position in a 3bet pot with (likely) overcards on the flop. Without SB in the pot, it would have been an easy 3bet, but do we really want to 4bet here, against a nit likely to have a bigger pair? as any 4bet would commit us to the pot. Or is a fold reasonable? Or is my thinking way off?
trystero 0
99 is an easy 3-bet against someone who's raising 8% of his hands ?This is a fold as of now
mtdesmoines 2
99 is an easy 3-bet against someone who's raising 8% of his hands ?This is a fold as of nowSickening fold, and we really can't shove it unless we play a lot with these villains and need to balance our range. Taking our 99 to the flop is a loser, because we're most likely going to see someone flop an un-foldable TP here.Sickening fold unless we have a very tight read.
SmileNTilt 0
Thanks for the responses guys, I did fold. 99 is an easy 3-bet against someone who's raising 8% of his hands ?This is a fold as of nowWell, "easy 3bet" might be over egging it slightly - but generally when the raise comes from the CO or button, yes ... I try to make the best decisions but I do love a good gamble. I've found that at 10nl, most people know about ranges for pre-flop raising but then c/f when over cards come or they don't hit hard (stations excluded, obv). Case in point, CO called the 3bet and then folded to a flop cbet on an As 5d 6d board.
machine1984 0
i actually disagree with 3betting 99 to a CO raise, when we 3 bet what worse hands are going to call? we are going to bloat the pot and oop. I am much more inclined to call his raise and play poker. if we call we are ahead of his range, if we 3bet and he calls we are behind hsi range.
Solar 0
Fwiw I will flat JJ to a raise from a really tight CO.

I got a 3bet called by 33 who stacked off on a gutshot on Saturday night.I understand what you are saying and will take that into consideration, but this is 10nl.Fwiw I will flat JJ to a raise from a really tight CO.Oh hell yeah - if the SB had made the initial raise then a 3bet wouldn't have even crossed my mind. Dictius 0
SB is super tight multitabling reg, his range is pretty narrow so easy fold imo.

As in, if this guy is only raising 10% of hands in the cutoff and the small blind wasn't in the hand I am flatting all pairs up to jacks.
