Both are going to play tonight, who would you put in the lineup?
Ott plays at LA after playing last night.
Kostitsyn is at home against Chicago, a much better defensive team, and is coming off of a flu.

I kinda like Kostityn, although it's mostly on gut instinct. Dallas/LA has the potential to be rough, and if it is, then Ott may spend half the game in the penalty box, and be more concerned with mixing it up than scoring. The Habs are playing for their lives, against a Chicago team that will be playing fast and loose. That game could should be wide open.

Ott vs LA.
He gets top line icetime with Ribeiro and Eriksson on his line, and LA is a softer opponent than Chicago.
Roto says Kostitsyn should play, but who knows how effective he'll be coming off the flu.

Ott.
Ribeiro racks up a ton of points, mostly assists, vs LA - most than against any other team in the league.
Kostitsyn is coming back and might be a bit rusty. Also he was not productive when he got sidelined. In fact, that Mtl second line has been struggling for a while.
Dallas' first line had lots of chances last week vs the Kings, but Quick was simply on fire out there.

I vote Kostitsyn since I always play better after the flu.
Owe $15 Dale - Won $10 more regular season games played (Dale - Lombardi, Me - Connolly)

FWIW
Saturday night he was a game time decision and didn't play, then sunday there was no practice and I saw clips of practice yesterday and he seemed to be skating full throttle with everyone else, he's reported to start tonight. Gainey has been calling out the 2nd line to step it up, since his brother has been called up they haven't been producing. He'll be on line with Plekanec and Sergei. Andrei is 1g, 1a in his last 14 games and is pointless in 6 games. Huet will be in nets for the hawks, former hab, so Andrei might remember some of his soft spots, but Huet wil likely be amped up for this game.

other note;
the habs are wearing their glorious barbershop uniforms tonight.

last time they wore these uniforms they lost 3-1 to boston when Andrei scored the lone goal.

tough call, but I would have to go with Ott.
26pts in his last 28gp!
Ott 10pts last 14gp
AKost 2pts last 14gp.
Ott is first unit PP, AKost is 2nd unit.
And this is a big game for Huet vs Mtl. He has a shot to maybe regain the #1 job tonight after having to sit for 2 weeks as Quinville decided to ride Khahbibulin.

Why didn't they ever end up wearing those cool blue uniforms with the gothic "C" on the front?

Ott for all the reasons stated. The only way he doesn't get a point is if he is in the box all game.

The "centenial" runs through until December of next season, I think they will wear them early next season.
Game decision by Gainey was to not wear the barbershop jerseys lol, I guess he doesn't like them.
