with JJ I think the pre-flop call is OK - there are too many flops that we don't like and why make a big pot.

on that flop, what we know about the villain? what is his range for the pre-flop raise out of the blinds? will he C-bet regardless on that flop? do we learn more by putting in a probe bet and seeing what he does, or will we be punished for sticking our neck out?

with no information, I think I would play the flop the same and get on to the next hand.

I'd 4 bet JJ CO vs BTN a lot, depending on opponent.

There are two ways to play JJ here vs. 90 BBs.
4 bet -- which means we are going to play for all the money.

Or flat and fold to overs.

You chose the latter option.
So folding is automatic.
I understand that button may be holding pp < JJ

Sometimes a flop like this is worth a pot-size donk if you know your villain, but 80% of the time, that would be spew.

By spew do you mean that we would be throwing away another $15 on this hand if we called? Sorry new to the poker terminology biggrin.gif

Spew - to give away your chips unnecessarily into a losing hand, stupidly, etc. Think of the term literally too...

Flat pre because if we get shoved on we are drawing to two outs. Fold flop.
