A little disappointed in the premiere. The premise is pretty decent, but not a lot of laughs. Took me a while to realize the older brother is the guy from Deadwood - kept thinking "damn, DJ Qualls got old." I think it is only 6 episodes this season, so hopefully it gets better.

Thanks for not telling me doodly squat about the premise other than it's "pretty decent."
You're welcome. I meant this more as a discussion by people who've seen it - I have no stake in making you see it. But since you asked so nicely - former major league relief pitcher (think John Rocker) has steroid/coke/money issues and moves back to his home town to become an elementary school PE teacher. Danny McBride stars. Do I need to give you a brief history of Danny McBride too?

I have a friend who recently wrote a movie script in which John Rocker is the star. He stops a terrorist attack in Las Vegas by racial profiling. lol
How does he stop them? It certainly isn't with his fastball.

"What about the black dude with the Cialis?"LOL
This was the best episode so far. I feel like they are hitting their stride. Too bad it is only 6 episodes (I think).

It's grown on me - he's such a dbag, you can't help but laugh. It has that awkward feel to it that Curb does at times, where the main character makes such an ass of himself that it's almost hard to watch, but that is part of the appeal. His personal assistant/the band teacher was pretty funny in last night's episode too.Pretty sure I want a copy of Kenny Powers' 'You're Out, I'm In' book on tape too.

Or its the funniest show on TV right nowStevie Janowski owns your soul
The no bunting line was the best of the series so far.
Season finale already? Just when the show was getting good.
I think it just takes time to start liking a character so unlikeable and to get what they are doing. I'm going to have to rewatch the first couple of episodes, I imagine they'll seem a lot funnier than they did the first time around.

The premiere is really good on repeat viewings, and the other eps aren't bad either. Definitely turned out better than I expected. The intro to last week with the reading of his latest audiobook was terrific.~ "I've got a cracked copy of Pro-tools"

If I had a time machine I would go back and tell February 15th Jkalib to stick with it. But, of course, he did stick with, so I guess I don't need a time machine.April's last line says it all. "Motherfucker." Just wish those were her tits they showed.
