You called the flop thinking you likely still had the best hand right? This is ok but of course it depends on how wide the Buttons opening range is and how often he cbets.

I think calling the flop and check/folding the turn is good.

Villain was 25/25 over a relatively small sample, I am assuming he's opening the button wide enough to have wiffed with a lot of aces and broadways.

In situations like this I call and set mine or 3b preflop. You are going to have a hard time playing the hand out of position and hoping he just lets you get to showdown. So I'd fold flop if I called pf. It's not a horrible spot to squeeze, but I think thats a little FPS for $10nl. If you were SB I think folding is a definite consideration andthe play I usually make. Granted you're ahead of his pf raising range, but it's just so difficult to play the hand unless you flop a set.

I read an article by Phil Galfond where he described this sort of situation and advocated a flop fold even though we're ahead of villain's range. The reason why is that it'll be so hard to play a small pair OOP that the flop calls becomes -EV. We never know where we are in the hand, so we always pay off value bets; conversely, villain can barrel us off our hand on the turn and/or river, and it'll be hard, if not impossible, for us to actually extract value from our hand.

This is a good flop and turn for our hand.

I don't mind testing opponent's willingness to fire a second barrel. If he has a medium pair, he's probably not firing again, and a lot of random broadways shut down too. Basically, we're defending our pre-flop call by calling his c-bet. If he fires the turn and makes us fold, that's fine...we'll have more info the next time we find ourselves in a similar scenario. If that info won't be useful in the future, we can just c/f the flop.

Meh. This is a marginal spot. I would be tempted to fire the turn if he showed he can fold. Our sample size is too small to know though. I'm torn between thinking there's value in repping the Q or even the 4 on the turn and pushing him off unpaired overs or QT or some such hand and just letting him continue to spew into us. We also have a couple outs in the deck if he does hold a Q. Maybe being a station and paying for the information has more value in the long run anyway.
