Anyone know where the action is in Tucson or Denver?
I'll be spending two nights in each place this week and might have time for a game.

In Denver there's really not much. The closest casinos are up I-70/Hwy 119 in Blackhawk and Central City. The Gilpin is your best bet but everything is still $5 max bet for cash games as new legislation for bigger games passed but is not yet implemented.

Gilpin Poker Room

I imagine you can get much better games in the Tuscon area. When you're there say hi to my grandma for me!

Don't listen to these guys, they don't know people.

I know of a $1-$3 NL game Friday through Sunday, and a $.50-$1.00 NL game Monday through Thursday, mixed games Sunday. This game plays like a 2/4 or 3/6 game. No rake either.

If you really want to play while you're in Denver, PM me. But I leave friday night for Costa Rica for ten days.

There's plenty of poker in the Denver area if you know the right people. The underground games have really gone underground because of several busts in the last three years.

I may be speaking of the same game but there is a niiiiice 1/3NL game on friday nights. Lately the game has started around has kicked off by 6pm, as early as 530 and a waiting list gets started quick.

Also I know of a 1/2 game on Thurs/Sat nights that plays like a 2/5. Starts between 6-8pm(depending on what time the text says) and gets 2 tables fairly quickly and goes very late most of the time. A lot of times I will get texts at 9-10am the next day saying game is still going.

Also know of a 4/8 limit choice game(Omaha, Pineapple and Stripper) waaaaaaay out there. Tuesdays and I think Fridays. The Game got moved and I havnt spoke to the runner lately but It would usually start at like 12pm and go till 7-9pm.

Finally a guy I know that plays in the Thurs/Sat runs a game every monday i think but Im not sure. He sends me texts the day of so if you PM me with the dates you will be in Denver I will def. let you know.

Justin(Jeepster) told me about the 1/3 game about a year and a half ago and through the players there I have found all these other games, so he is right. If you know people, you can get good games.

You mean other than being gorgeous, having reasonably good weather, down to earth people, great hiking/climbing/skiing, etc?

I guess the Broncos can suck it though.

This just proves my point. You should have to go 'underground' to find a 1/3NL game. I stand by my initial statement.

I'm sure you're fairly ignorant, but according to Colorado State Law, poker games are only allowed in the three mountain towns. The only game allowed is spread limit poker, $2-$5 or $5-$5. It's harder than you think to change the laws to allow NL, or bring legalized gambling to other towns or the Metro Area.

Is your criticism that you think there should be no limit? I believe you meant to type 'shouldn't' instead of should. I know, English is hard.

I don't speak moron, would you like to clarify what you're saying? Not that it matters, it's not like you'd get into any of these games anyway.

FYP?

But yeah, 1/3NL underground games suck compared to what you can play at the casinos. 2/5 and 5/5 spread limit FTW! Right? Plus in underground games; there is less rake(from what i have heard), its a lot closer, you get free food, and IT'S NOT BINGO.

The only knock you can make on underground games is that they are illegal. I played at one game that was busted(I wasn't there at the time) but it was the 4/8 choice game I mentioned(which has moved a FAR ass way away). But the people came in and said 'shut the game down now, and we won't take names or anything'. And that's excatly what the runner did, paid everyone out, and shut it down. No harm done to any of the players, most of which still play at the place it moved to.

So again, Colorado poker sucks, if you don't know people. But if you do, it's awesome.

LOL, thanks for the laugh! Your E-Penis is definitely bigger than mine. Well done! Next you're going to issue a HU4ROLLZ challenge, right?

To clarify, I was just stating my opinion. Stop taking it personal. I could careless about getting into your underground games. This might come as a shock to someone as highly intelligent as you but despite what you believe there are some people in colorado who don't drool over $1/$3 NL games. I am one of them. We'll leave it at that. No need for another witty response, I don't think I'd understand it anyways. icon_frown.gif

And thanks for the non-insulting explanation Eddie. We'll agree to disagree.

How cute. I only responded like I did because your post was slightly insulting, even if you didn't mean it that way.

And it's 'I couldn't care less', not 'I could care less'.

Good luck.
