ReraiseAllIn 0
One of my friends (who doesn't play poker seriously, but I taught him some of the basics a couple years back) has been getting on me to go up to CT to hang out. He said that when I get up there we should hit up the Mohegan Sun to gamble. However, my inclination when I go up there would be to hit up Foxwoods. The difference in driving times from his place is largely negligible for all intents and purposes. If I am trying to play cards, am I wrong to prefer to hit the Fox? Anyone been to both and can compare/contrast their poker rooms? Do they both have a good amount of action going at their 2/5 NL tables on weekends? What is the 2/5 min/max buy-in?Thanks to anyone who can answer these questions.
mikednuts 0
Weekend action at Mohegan is OK, but still short of Foxwoods. The nice thing about MS is that the poker room is still pretty new with MUCH better customer service for the players. But Foxwoods has more action, better dealers, and more tourneys if that's your thing.
Andynice20 0
30 hour a week Foxwoods player here. Play mainly $10/$20 limit, but started my roll @ the NL tables. The play @ Mohegan is much softer than Foxwoods. This is especially apparent @ the $2/$5 tables. The 2/5 action @ Foxwoods is very comparable to the 1/2 action. As in you raise to $25 UTG and you very well might get 7 callers. @ MS I distinctly remember raising to $20 and getting several walks. If you're an action player, go to Foxwoods, if you catch a run of cards you can very possibly run up several grand in the 2/5 game.Buy in for 2/5 @ Foxwoods is $200-$500@ MS its $100-$

I will just add, if you are looking to hang out outside the poker room while there I much prefer Mohegan. Better bars, restaraunts, shops, and overall scene in my opinion. Just my .02.
