I'm up for negotiating this point, but I like the progressive stake holder % based on points finish versus a flat 1% or whatever since it gives people a continued interest to play well in the later weeks.
yea like give out 30 percent or somethig total.. and whoever did the best in the league gets the most percentage points.

I hate the fact that the person that plays it has to give 50 percent away.. I think 25 percent of profit to the players that played is more then plenty.. its like a free sweat at a potentially nice score.
Agreed 100%. WSOP events in general are grueling and to have to give 50% away because you WON the seat in what is essentially a satellite seems high. If you were backed in the event that's different, but keep in mind, the winner of the seat OUT PERFORMED everyone else in the competition to earn the seat and I think that person should be able to keep more of his/her winnings.

What about if somebody has to miss one of the weeks? Would they just ship the $10 to you and forfeit their points. I bring it up because it's a possibility. As for the percentage, I agree 50% is a bit high. 30% seems better. As far as distribution of the 30%, I'd be fine with even distribution but whatever.

In please, 5th the suggestion that the winner should get 70% of themself in the tournament. Will the tournaments be all NLHE? Would be cool to throw maybe a HORSE and an 8 game tourney in during the 10 weeks to level the field for those of us who are specialists in other games. If so, could the winner play a non-NLHE $1,500? (i think there are quite a few people here, including myself, who are far more +EV in a mixed or non holdem event).

You should have everybody ship half the buyin at the beginning to ensure that people are serious and make the Tournaments $5.50 buyins so that you are paying less rake to Poker Stars. You're welcome.

Just a thought. Since most of the people who join this probably don't see $120 as life changing money...why not play it as two separate pools. Take the $120 up front to enter in the series, then just enter the tourney each week and let the winners keep their profits. That way everyone's locked in for the main pool, and even if you have no shot at the package, there's still incentive to cash in the last couple tourneys.

They would register and blind out and keep in mind you can drop your worst score

This series will be all NLHE, but if you win the $1500 you can register for whatever $1500 WSOP event you like

If everyone plays by the same math rules we all lose to the rake.
If your a 70pct favorite to beat someone in general, why take an allin with them at 66/34 ? your giving them the edge.

As I said in my original post this may be a Phase II type thing as I also like this idea, but not for this first trial

None taken. I like that you left off #7 on the list.I'd have to miss at least two weeks, so I'm out, but awesome idea - thanks for setting it up.

Haha... I know :)Actually you're mostly in there cause I took the current one. Hoodini and Dt are the two who always seem top 3 every single quarter. How many chipsets does one person need? I just want one!
