I am driving up on Sat. with a friend. The tourney is a $1,500 buy-in 1-day event on Sunday Jan. 25th.
They have some super-satellites and single table
satellites it says on their site. Is anybody else going to play or be there?

I was, but now that I know you are playing in it, I won't waste the gas. icon_hand.gif

Erik Ryland sightings should be reported.

He'll probably be there since he lives in Minnesota.

It was much easier to drive to MN and play in this. I figured I'd see how many players the Horseshoe got in their first $1,500 tourney before I played in one. OMGJustinFiltz just started college back up and is only an hr away from Canterbury Park so he drove up to play the limit holdem cash games Saturday night and on Sunday too. The tourney starts at 10:30 a.m. later today.

Given the weather, "freezeout" is the word.

GL all who are in!

So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look west, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark, that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.” —Raoul Duke, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas

I busted in the 4th level. 15 mins in I had 33 vs. 99 in a rred pot preflop 3 ways and didn't go broke on a 943 rainbow flop.
I had 7,100/15,000 you start with and couldn't get anything going and then busted with AT vs. KJ aipf.

I love the game of poker for the competition, the psychology, the never-ending quest to improve, the advanced and sometimes minute complexities not everyone sees when they play, and the enjoyment of succeeding after giving all your energy to reach a goal that may at first seem unattainable but that you find a way to make it possible.
