I actually like this play here. By calling and checkraising, we gain at least another half-bet when we're ahead. Ice

My thinking was that a 3-bet pf or flop would slow down UTG+2.On the flop, villain is either bluffing or not. I assumed he was not bluffing, and had hit a K, and would bet after I checked. If villain was bluff raising for a free card on the flop, then if I bet the turn, he will fold, and if I checked, he might bluff again at the pot. Or take a free card. I suppose this is the risk I have to take to get an extra bet out of villain, as I didn't think he would raise a turn bet

Then lead the turn to get a 3-bet in and keep from giving free cards.

So you would rather let UTG+2 catch extra cards to beat you then bet/raise for value?Interesting...
