antistuff 0
do i have enough to peel this flop? how many turn cards can i continue on?will i be able to manipulate enough money into the pot on them? i really want to be able to get all the money in or as close as possible so i don't have any decisions to make on tough rivers. i like a K, Q, J, T, and 9 here. on a Q J or T i feel comfortable getting money in vs most players. a 9 is a good card and may give me enough leverage to take the pot away. It will also give me enough equity to get some cash in the pot and then be able to bet huge on the river if i hit (if things seem like they are going to develop that way).am i getting too fancy here? should i just give up? NonZeroPossibility 0
Looks fine to me. Any card over 9 on the turn looks good for you plus any heart.
jmbreslin 0
I'm a bit concerned about something. If you do hit on a non-Ace river, you're not getting any more money out of anyone; and if you do hit on an Ace river, you're most likely splitting the pot. Plus you could hit runner-runner hearts and get scooped. You're getting 4-1 on the flop call, but unless you are able to get it all in on the turn you're not getting enough upside IMO. Cappy37 0
Hi, I'm guilty of double posting!
Cappy37 0
I peel in that spot precisely NEVER in a pot that multiway. It's the bastard with the J833 that's going to cost you another couple bets when you get the ten on the turn, and then a damn 7 on the river. Sad part is it's gonna get donk-raised like mad cuz two ppl are cool enough to have a naked A4 to drive it up.I do a TON of extremely dumb things in o8b.. peeling this flop isnt one of them. rvrchsrhtr 0
depending on how things are going I may peel this flop, but not in your position. I would on the button if I thought I could get a large portion of my stack in on the turn and I was pretty positive I was looking at someone pushing a draw.
crazykid13 0
Personally I don't like this spot at all. I can't see myself wanting to get too invested here. I mean the only good board is one that gives you a king high straight, and maybe the flush if the board doesn't pair. If the turn either an ace,4,5 or 6, your hand is as good as dead. I'll save the two dollars and go buy a drink. If this was limit, a peel wouldn't be the worst thing I've seen, but in PLO8, I want out now.
checkymcfold 0
in pos, i peel. utg, i fold. you really need to turn like the 9h to be profitable calling a huge turn bet. granted, you get a free card when you like the turn fairly often, but the fact remains that you don't have enough pot size control from oop, and none of your running outs, except maybe a wonky straight, will really allow you to c/r the river if you hit.edit: in nlo8, i like peeling, too, i think, as you can shovel oop and don't worry about having to c/r to get a ton in.
