I've had multiple bad beats from one specific player that seems to get the better of me whenever we confront each other. He just makes some insane moves and by virtue of good luck, makes his hand. I'll call him player X.2 examples:I move in for 40$ preflop with AK. Player to my immediate left raises 100$ more(10-10).Facing an all-in bet and an 100$ raise, Player X declares "I wanna go home anyway" and calls all in with A-10 diamonds.A-10 of diamonds vs 10-10 & A-K. He makes the ace-high straight to take down the pot.My second story is the worst.I have 7-7, it's raised 10 preflop by player X. He rarely raises pots without a big hand, so I decided I would take a shot here with another person in the pot with me to hit my set.Flop comes 5-7-9 w/ 2 diamondsBeing first to act, I decided to made a decent bet (50$).Basically, I was trying to accomplish 2 things:1. Bet enough to force a flush/straight draw out.2. Represent a flush/straight draw trying to steal the pot.#2 worked like a charm, as player X did in fact have a big pair; KK w/ a diamond. He raised me the rest of my money (about 140 left in front of me) and I called.I was in pretty good shape on the flop, but that feeling of comfort was brief:The turn and river brought diamonds and I lost to a King High flush.
